本法人は、在宅療養者、身障者、高齢者等（以下、居住者という）を対象として、健康で安心した生活を支援するため、居住者の日常の健康状態や生活状況を、負担なく・さりげなく、暮らしに溶け込む技術（カーム・ヘルスケア技術と命名）で見守り、必要に応じて家族、介護者、かかりつけ担当医、医療機関、福祉施設にも知らせことが出来るICTと融合したヘルスケア・見守りに関する技術開発とサービス事業を展開し、さらにその普及啓発に関する事業等を行い、健康で安心生活を送れる高福祉な街づくりの実現と次世代への伝承に寄与することを理念として研究開発活動を進めています。

The NPO Research Institute of Life Benefit challenges successively to conduct Research and Development (R&D) for advanced healthcare monitoring technology together with information and communication technology (ICT) in a casual manner without any burded (named "calm healthcare technology") in order for chronically-diseased, handicapped and aged peaple to live healthier and safer life every day, to let his/her family/caregiver/primary care doctor, a medical center or welfare facility notify if required in the urgent events of health condition, to promote public awareness and enlightment of such home technologies, to aim to realize higher walfare smart town development with advanced home technologies, and to contribute to passing on to the next generation.
